SWIMMING POOL APPLICATIONS
Swimming pools require huge amounts of water to be circulated, heated and dosed with chemicals such as chlorine, acid and coagulant. Heating costs for pools is very high and cost increases with limescale build up due to loss of efficiency of heat exchangers.

The higher powered AV unit is installed on the return water to the pool, post heating, to treat the water entering the pool and ultimately seeding the water and creating a pool full of treated water.

The benefits of AV treatment to pool water are as follows:
-
Once the pool is fully seeded using only treated water there will be an obvious improvement in the quality of water, both to look and feel of the water. Less irritation caused by chemical dosing, softer feel and crystal clear water, visually sparkling rather than the normal dull, flat appearance. Particularly appealing to regular swimmers in hotel or municipal baths
-
The AV unit is a non-invasive unit requiring no changes to pipework and no pool down time.
-
Positive effects on the system commence immediately on power up
-
No servicing or maintenance required. No salt, chemicals or consumables required
-
20 year operational life span with no loss of performance over time. Low energy consumption.
Specific benefits that are achieved with AV treated pool water:
-
Ph bounce is reduced
-
Chemical dosing requirements are significantly reduced often reducing chlorine consumption by up to 50% - cost saving, positive for the environment and more comfortable for the swimmer
-
Heating energy requirement is reduced as scale is eliminated from the heat exchanger increasing heating efficiency particularly when used in conjunction with our non-invasive static fuel conditioners fitted on gas, oil or LPG fuel lines – cost saving in energy and reduced maintenance costs
-
Turnover period - water in pool recirculates more efficiently. Faster re-opening after pool contamination
-
Reduced cleaning frequency
-
Improvement in general pool cleanliness with reduction in scum lines
-
Filters remain cleaner for longer and are more efficient reducing replacement frequency which equates to reduced repair costs
-
The necessary addition of Calcium hypochlorite can increase hardness levels producing limescale even in soft water areas. The briquette form causes more problems than the granular form
-
Salt regeneration water softeners become redundant saving space and costs for salt dosing as well as eliminating water wastage during the regeneration cycles
